SOPs
An SOP shows each step with a photo or a short video, marked with arrows and circles. The crew do it one step at a time on a phone, and the app keeps a record of who did it.
Key capabilities
What it does
- A photo, or a short video, on every step, with arrows, circles and numbers drawn on
- Do it mode: one big step per screen, tap when done, and a record of who did it and when
- Read mode: read the whole SOP, then tap read and understood
- Warning, caution and note blocks, and the PPE needed, in plain view
- QR label to stick on the equipment: scan it and the SOP opens in Do it mode
- Works offline: approved SOPs keep their text and photos on the device
- PDF with the photos, ready to print
- Start from the Hey Captain SOP library and adapt it to your vessel
- Ask the AI Assistant for an SOP and see its steps and photos in the chat

Anything it would change comes back as a card first. Nothing is saved until you press Approve.
Why it mattersA paragraph in a manual is hard to follow with oily hands. Photos and one step at a time are not, and the record shows the SOP was actually used.
