Crew List (FAL Form 5)
The Crew List generator on the Crew page builds the crew list for port authorities and agents from the vessel particulars and the crew records already in Hey Captain. Pick who signs, export the PDF and keep a copy in the archive.

Key capabilities
What it does
- Crew list built from current crew records, ranked captain first
- Choose crew on board or all crew
- Vessel details (IMO, call sign, tonnage, home port) filled in from Vessel Particulars
- Ports and dates of departure and arrival added per list
- Add people not in the crew list, with passport details
- Captain proposed as signatory; captain or chief / 1st officer can be chosen
- PDF export and a saved archive of past crew lists

Anything it would change comes back as a card first. Nothing is saved until you press Approve.
Why it mattersEvery arrival and departure needs a crew list, and retyping passports is where mistakes creep in. Here it comes from the records you already keep, and past lists stay on file.
