Hours of Rest
Hours of Rest records each crew member's day on a half-hour grid and checks it against the MLC rest rules as you go. The month is signed by the seafarer and the master and saved as a PDF.
Key capabilities
What it does
- 48 half-hour blocks per day, per crew member
- MLC checks: 10 h rest in any 24 h, 6 h continuous, no more than 2 rest periods, 14 h maximum between rest, 77 h in 7 days
- Rolling 24-hour window across midnight, with deviations shown in red
- Type the day in plain words and AI Fill sets the grid
- Pre-fill from the Watch Schedule, marked unconfirmed until checked
- Seafarer and master signatures, PDF export and saved report
- Leave and travel days recorded as non-working days

- Noah Marlow worked 06:00–12:00 and 14:00–19:00 today.
- Who on M/Y Ball hasn't recorded their hours of rest this month?
- Did anyone drop below 77 hours in the last 7 days?
Anything it would change comes back as a card first. Nothing is saved until you press Approve.
Why it mattersRest-hour records are checked at inspection and are easy to get wrong by hand. The rules are checked on every entry, so problems show before the month is signed.
