Job Card
The Job Card is the permit to work on a phone. Brief the crew with the risk picture from the risk assessment, check every line, then run the job live. It follows the full SMS permit, from scope to clearance.
Key capabilities
What it does
- Start a job in one tap: working aloft, overside, hot work, enclosed space or electrical
- Brief: the risk picture from the risk assessment, hazards green, orange or red, before and with controls
- Scope: location, equipment, work, and who the permit is issued to (crew or contractor)
- Check: Yes, No or N/A for every question. A No needs a note, and you cannot sign with an open item
- Receipt signed by the person doing the work; the crew tap their names to sign on
- Authorising officer signs for 1 to 24 hours, never the person doing the work. That makes it live
- Live: time left, wind limit, 15-minute reminder, and Stop work for anyone on the job
- Clearance: the authorising officer signs Completed or Suspended. The PDF builds by itself
- Gas test for hot work and enclosed space; lock and tag for electrical

Anything it would change comes back as a card first. Nothing is saved until you press Approve.
Why it mattersThe permit, the risk assessment and the SOP are one card in your hand, not three papers at the other end of the ship. Nobody can start with a line left open, and the signed PDF is already filed.
